Money for nothing

No, not for nothing - for scrapbooking!!

Another recent project at Pics 'n Tales, was a money box, decorated with the left over paper from our Woman's Day layout. As those who know me will tell you, pink is not my favourite colour... So instead of using the left overs from a pink layout (which I designed!?!), I opted for some Graphic 45 paper depicting a world map.

The "memory file" tab comes from the packaging of a set of Heidi Swapp stamps. The suitcase was cut from an image created with a more detailed stamp, which I also used on the other side of the money box.

Little banners were created using a Tim Holtz die and a toothpick. A punched out envelope and another word cut from the Heidi Swapp packaging finishes off this side of the money box.

For the next side, I used a Kaiser Kraft stamp, which I stamped on different papers as well as on the map background of the money box. I cut out the different components of the stamped images and then rebuilt the image using components from each of the different backgrounds. I glazed the pink inside of the suitcase.

Instead of the stamped crown, I used a metal crown, to which I added a few drops of Stickles to create "diamonds".

I repeated the banners on the last side of the money box. This time, I first stamped a word on the background, and completed the title with Pink Paislee stickers, before I added more banners and a little camera.

Now all that remains, is for the money box to receive its first deposit!!
